About Fostering

There’s Hope Dog Rescue could not survive without foster parents. Thanks to generous individuals like you who are ready and willing to provide temporary housing and lots of love, we are able to rescue dogs just in the nick of time.  We pull dogs from shelters literally hours before they are scheduled to be euthanized – often before we have the opportunity to line up sponsors or permanent adopters.

sadiehomeSome foster homes only host their rescue dog long enough for a bath, a good meal, and a safe night’s sleep. Others care for dogs long enough to work on training, develop trust, and recover from injuries or ailments – all to help them transition smoothly into their forever homes.

Fostering is an incredibly rewarding experience. There is nothing like comparing the pictures of your foster dog in the shelter with the sight of them in their new home! Of course, fostering is not without challenges, but There’s Hope Dog Rescue will be there to help you through any bumps in the road.

In addition to longer-term foster homes, we also need overnight and short-term homes. These foster parents might take a dog for the weekend while their regular foster is out of town, or provide an overnight place to stay for a dog between arriving from the shelter and getting adopted. Our short term and temporary foster homes fill a critical need for our rescue dogs!
